Senior Manager, Supplier Quality (Contract Manufacturing)The Senior Manager, Supplier Quality (Contract Manufacturing) will lead the external manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team. This role includes daily management, maintenance, and monitoring of team activities, ensuring collaboration with suppliers, product development, procurement, and quality teams to deliver compliant materials. Responsibilities include oversight of a broad portfolio of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and distributed product suppliers, implementation of quality improvement strategies, and alignment with global supplier management requirements. The role also involves developing objectives, plans, and strategies to support business goals.Essential Duties
  • Demonstrates broad management experience and recognized expertise across multiple unrelated functions.
  • Leads the development, direction, and effectiveness of the functional group, supporting business and corporate objectives.
  • Participates in short- and long-term planning to establish technical objectives.
  • Applies technical and managerial expertise to evaluate and adapt global projects and products.
  • Identifies and prioritizes improvement opportunities and drives implementation.
  • Manages team resourcing and budgeting; accountable for long-range planning.
  • Ensures compliance with FDA and global regulatory requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintains adherence to Quality System regulations and safe working practices.
Minimum Qualification RequirementsEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Engineering preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in program/project management, budgeting, and resource planning.
Skills
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams with deep domain expertise.
  • Experience managing geographically diverse teams and working with CMOs or contract design firms.
  • Ability to balance commercial and development needs to meet global business goals.
  • Advanced understanding of Design Controls and Quality Management Systems.
  • Strategic collaboration with product development leaders to set long-term goals.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of management, quality, global regulatory standards, and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with the business’s products and therapeutic applications.
  • Expertise in planning, budgeting, associate development, and project management.
  • Technical proficiency in tools such as CAD, FEA, industrial design, machining, and rapid prototyping.
  • Proficiency in relevant PC software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
