- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the data platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs. Own the strategy and release of the product.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, analytics, and business teams to prioritize features, manage trade-offs, and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring data products are scalable, compliant, and aligned with industry standards. Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements.
- Manage the lifecycle of data products, including data sets, APIs, dashboards, and analytical tools, from ideation to delivery and continuous improvement.
- Monitor performance and adoption of data products, using metrics to drive enhancements and demonstrate business value.
- Promote data literacy and self-service analytics across business units & clients to empower decision-making.
- Problem solving across multiple platforms, analysis, negotiating skills, business acumen, conflict management skills
- Communicate problems, customer issues, challenges, and desired outcomes to the rest of the team, and work with the team to develop solutions.
- Coordinate and facilitate product meetings, customer/user conversations, and customer-product testing.
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on data products in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Experience with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with data analysis programming languages- SQL, Python
- Experience in property & casualty insurance, claims platforms, or enterprise SaaS
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIDA) are a plus.
- Background in data engineering, analytics, or actuarial science
- Proven strength in managing multiple priorities through structured planning and coordination
