- Team Management: Lead, train, and manage a team of dispatchers, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Route Optimization: Oversee the assignment and optimization of collection routes to ensure maximum efficiency and timely completion of services.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily dispatch operations, making real-time adjustments to address any delays, equipment issues, or unexpected challenges.
- Customer Service Management: Handle escalated customer service issues, working to resolve them promptly and satisfactorily.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch efficiency, route completion, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Manager, drivers, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination and communication across departments.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all dispatch activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular audits and training sessions as needed.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve dispatching processes, implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on dispatch operations to senior management, highlighting any issues, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in dispatching or logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role, preferably within the waste management industry.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in logistics, business management, or a related field is preferred.
