Come play a key role in this fast-growing segment and support our ability to create fast, easy, and secure systems.This role is eligible for relocation support.Primary Responsibilities:Leads the Engineering team as the IPT representative to meet all system requirements during the proposal, system definition, design, verification, manufacturing, and sustainment phases.Supports the preparation of RFI’s and RFQs, aligning staffing, business plans, work scope, specifications and data, budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.Develops, justifies, manages the annual budget, and secures the necessary resources.Develops plans/schedules necessary to meet critical programmatic and customer milestones (hardware deliveries, qualification activities, customer lab/flight test A/C support activities).Conducts Project Execution – Cost/Schedule/Performance, EVMS, Change Management, Work Scope Control, risk management, and Mitigation, and Standard Work management.Creates and monitors key metrics (quality, cost, schedule…) and implements appropriate corrective actions to address negative trends.Pursues all recurring and non-recurring cost-saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.Performs critical path analysis and prepares and implements work-around plans to ensure the successful completion of projects.Leads team meetings to manage projects effectively and communicates written/oral plans and status to all levels of management and to the customer.Represents Collins as the customer's primary engineering contact. Leads efforts to investigate field performance issues, drive RCCA’s, and manage action items.Supports ongoing Operations and Quality, Supply Chain—driving RCCA investigations, Cost-reduction initiatives, and Zero-defect plans.Maintains a focus on Customer Satisfaction, On-time Delivery, and Quality.Supports sustainment and service/repair contracts and operations, diminishing manufacturing sources, obsolete product re-introduction, and cold-start initiatives.Experience/Qualifications Needed:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experienceExperience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processTechnical degreeU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations requiredPreferred Qualifications:Project lead experienceExperience with scheduling and managing a budgetDesign experienceExperience in a customer-facing roleAt Collins Aerospace, our Interiors team is focused on innovation, safety and cost efficiency. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
