Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Physical RequirementsThis position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position may require personnel to wear personal protective equipment to reduce risk of exposure to work-related hazards (e.g. handling of hazardous medications).
ShiftMonday through Friday; shift varies from 7:00am -5:00pm. Hours and days of the week subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department.
Job SummaryThis position will provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients in financial support programs, and coordinating first-time dispenses and refills for specialty medications prescribed within UK HealthCare. Will work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for a variety of subspecialty disease states.This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process should your application be selected to move forward.The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.
