Job Description:MGS has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler to join our MGS US Tooling team.The Material Handler ensures all material related tasks for the sampling team are prepared and cleared for every sample. This includes material receiving & inventory, labelling, storage, drying, loading, clearing, and mixing.Below are additional duties and responsibilities:
  • Receives in materials from various sources working with tooling project managers to identify materials correctly.
  • Receives sample requests and identifies material quantity needs and alerts tooling project managers if more material is required.
  • Add material into IQMS inventory
  • Allocate material in IQMS for respective jobs.
  • Create material labels.
  • Find material data sheets for each material and upload to respective job folders.
  • Clean and load dryers and hoppers for each job.
  • Setup proper drying settings for appropriate materials and check moisture levels.
  • Clear dryers, loaders, hoses at the end of each sample, re-inventory, and store remaining material.
  • Keep material area lean and organized, work with warehouse to store material offsite that is not immediately needed. Keep organized labelling and storage system for quick location of material.
  • Understand and execute best material handling practices to keep material free from contamination.
  • Understand hopper, loader, dryer function and basic troubleshooting.
  • Mix material color manually as needed. Work with manufacturing to utilize their mixer on larger quantities.
  • Drive a forklift to maneuver materials and supplies of varying sizes.
  • Assist with shop inventory and ordering as assigned.
  • Assist with shop cleaning as assigned.
  • Assist with operator part handling as assigned.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with injection molding material handling is a plus.
  • Experience using inventory management software is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
