Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OCES) Extension Educators are the “front door” to the University, providing a link between OSU and the people of the state in all 77 Oklahoma counties.
The OCES represents a federal, state, and county partnership working since 1914. The mission of OCES is to disseminate information to the people of Oklahoma and encourage the adoption of research-generated knowledge.
Extension Educators provide research-based information to clientele in the areas of agriculture, family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community and rural development.

  • This position is located in the SE District Extension Office , Ada, Oklahoma and serves the Southeast Extension District. Provides educational leadership to county, district, and statewide OCES programs in the area of agricultural economics.
  • The area specialist plays a critical role in interdisciplinary teams to develop the objective and comprehensive information needed by agricultural producers, natural resource owners, and agribusiness owners to make decisions to help improve agricultural income, sustainability, and the rural economy.
  • This position participates as a cohesive team member with other area specialists, state specialists, county educators, and district staff.
  • Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, etc., related to equal opportunity, civil rights, and affirmative action.

  • Master's in Agricultural Economics or closely related.
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)Starting salary is based upon education and prior relevant work experience. * Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.
