All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule:Full TimeShift: Available to work a variable rotating schedule Mon-Fri 7:30A-8P, Sat and Sun 7:30A-5PLocation: Position will support, as a Float, various Primary Care locations throughout the Seminole & Volusia County areasThe role youll contribute:The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments.The value youll bring to the team:Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately and at the time of service or resultsPerforms clinical intake according to AHMG policy and proceduresMay be responsible for assisting with minor procedures associated with specialtyMay be required to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needsMust maintain education requirements for position and demonstrate competency, as requiredEnsures efficient office flow by preparing patient and equipment for the needed treatment and initiates testing and documents results into the practices designated system when appropriate.The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:Minimum qualifications:High School Grad or EquivBasic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA orAmerican Medical Certification Association (AMCA) orAmerican Medical Technologists (AMT) orNational Center for Competency Testing-Medical Asst (NCMA) orNational Healthcareer Association (NHA) orNational Association for Healthcare Professionals-Medical Asst (NRCMA) orAmerican Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)Preferred qualifications:1 year of related experienceGraduate from an accredited medical assistant program This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
