Director of Engineering – Engineering Director – Resort Engineering Director – Resort Director of Engineering – Director of FacilitiesLocation: Charlottesville, VA areaPosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Engineering to join a luxury property with a rich history and recently completed multi-million-dollar renovations. This exceptional opportunity is ideal for a hands-on professional who can lead the engineering and maintenance team while maintaining the highest standards of excellence in a dynamic and elegant environment.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the property’s engineering operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance.
  • Collaborate with interior and exterior designers to ensure the upkeep of high-end finishes throughout the property.
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to optimize equipment performance and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate external contractors when necessary.
  • Partner with other department leaders to maintain the seamless operation of the property’s amenities, including lodging, spa, dining facilities, and pools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering management, preferably in luxury hospitality or high-end residential properties.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Familiarity with high-end finishes and the ability to collaborate with design professionals to maintain and enhance property standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a seasonal operation and adapt to the dynamic needs of the property.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: up to $190,000, commensurate with experience.
