OverviewAt Crestron, we are looking for a Lead Quality Engineer with experience in manual testing and team management at our Rockleigh, NJ campus. As a lead engineer, you will interface with product management, development, and project management to refine product requirements, spearhead test strategy creation and execution, and ensure quality product deliveries for our diverse commercial and residential lighting, shading, keypad, and gateway product families.Responsibilities
  • Review and provide feedback on technical documents like functional requirements and product specifications.
  • Liaise with the internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system and performance level requirements.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases and prioritize test executions
  • Lead design and development of fixtures needed for product testing
  • Develop reusable programs using programming languages such as C# and proprietary software
  • Identify and concisely report product issues to relevant development teams
  • Communicate status of projects to relevant stakeholders at a regular cadence
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Qualifications
  • Master or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Computers
  • 10 + years of relevant experience in hardware testing
  • 5+ years of C# experience
  • Team oriented, strong interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding of testing processes and testing methodologies.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality products within tight schedules
  • The ability to adjust to rapidly changing requirements and timelines
  • Maintain a record of assignments completed in a timely manner with high quality
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Excellent team player with a consistently positive attitude and collaborative approach to problem solving, options analysis and continuous improvement of process, team, and systems
  • Experience in Wireless communication protocols, including Zigbee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.
  • Experience in electrical wiring
  • Experience with a variety of electrical tools such as volt meters, adjustable power supplies, etc.
  • Experience in providing and presenting project status reports throughout the development cycle of a product or feature
  • Experience with defect tracking systems, test management systems and software revision control
  • Preferable Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, and Outlook
  • Experience in using Command Prompt and alternate consoles such as Putty, MobaX Terminal, etc.
  • Experience in Web Browser debugging and captures such as recording HAR files
Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($108,000 - $175,000) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
