PAY RATE: Up to $42/hourWe are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.Job Details:Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)Industry: Aerospace / Defense / AviationBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision (Cigna)Perks: Bonus potential + Priority access via Tier 1 supplierOpenings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S.Qualifying Questions:Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?Summary:Seeking an Experienced MH-139 Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to support the MH-139 program.Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on diesel/gas engines, hydraulic power units, heaters, air conditioners, and associated ground handling gearTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and structural components of ground support equipmentOversee assembly, disassembly, and overhaul of equipmentConduct calibration and testing preparationsExecute corrosion control tasks, including cleaning, priming, painting metal surfaces, and fabricating simple parts to maintain equipment functionalityPerform validation/verification testing on systems and componentsDocument procedures and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements (e.g., repairs, inspections, modifications)Inspect components and verify proper repairsWork independently under general directionRequirements:High School Diploma or GED4+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school + 2 years, Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree with related experience)Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft and ground support equipment maintenanceThorough understanding of ground safety protocols including lockout/tagout, spill prevention, and proper PPE useWillingness to work variable shiftsMust be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).Preferred Skills:Experience with MH-139 maintenance or modificationsGeneral mechanical experience across systems and platformsAbout Us:The Structures Company is a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency specializing in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire placements.
