Sound like you?Work for the Smart Safety CompanyLocation: Eagan, MinnesotaAs a Welder you are responsible for welding together the aluminum extrusions for ladder racking units and delivery vehicle shelving units. Additionally, you will have in-depth knowledge of welding machinery including robotic welders, and various weldments. May perform other duties as assigned.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and standard work instructions (SWI’s).
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure and caliper readings.
  • Use a variety of other powered hand tools, stapler, rivets gun(s), drills, etc.
  • Inspect and test, parts and products, as necessary, during or after welding for quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans.
  • Ability to cross train to other departments as needed.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • 6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility as a welder.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment weld test
  • Reliable and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Safety First attitude.
  • Physical requirements include frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.
Schedule:
  • First Shift – Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:00PM
  • $22 - $24/hour
