- Performs CT examinations as ordered by the referring physician
- Assists with CT guided Interventional Radiology procedures
- Starts IV lines on patients using proper technique
- Communicates with patients regarding medical history, symptoms and explanation of procedures with associated documentation
- Enters data in Radiology Information System, assuring accuracy and completeness
- Verifies accuracy of physician orders for diagnostic imaging while utilizing GLMI scan protocols
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area
- Performs daily quality assurance testing with documentation
- Attends to the medical needs of patients at all times. Maintains patient modesty at all times and ensures the safety of patients in the department.
- Helps fellow technologists when not busy with CT specific duties including assisting with DR x-ray procedures
- Restocks supplies and maintains a list of items to be ordered

- Operates standard imaging equipment but not limited to:
- CT equipment - Siemens & GE
- Bracco Power Injector
- PC Computer
- PACS/RIS software
- Overtime may be required, as needed
- Experience in radiology and medical terminology
- Operate standard office equipment such as fax machine, copier, scanner etc.
- Associates in Applied Science, Radiologic Technology from ARRT approved program
- New York State Radiologic Technology License or valid temporary license
- Valid BLS Certification
- ARRT Certification in CT required, or within 1 year of training completion date in accordance with GLMI policy
- Must have the ability to pull, push and lift patients and equipment.
- Standing, walking, sitting, keyboard use for long periods of time
- Ability to listen and communicate with patients face to face or over the phone
- Will be required to read, write, work in a fast-paced office setting
- Ability to make decisions and think quickly
- Must have mental and physical capabilities to perform all tasks listed above
