You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.If you are interested in meaningful work on the newest innovations in defense,we invite you to join our team!Responsibilities:
  • Guide internal customers on how to configure and deploy PaaS infrastructure consisting of identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, deployment and more
  • Collaborate with Software Architects on how to best design their cloud applications for optimal scaling including content caching, compute optimizations, continuous integration and delivery pipeline, load balancer setup, and more
  • Interface with internal and external customers to deploy solutions and deliver workshops to educate and empower them
  • Work closely with Project Management to build and constantly drive excellence in our solutions
  • Guide engineering teams in evolving Cloud technologies
  • Work with Critical internal and external Platform Consumers.
  • Support successful implementation of Application PaaS in the Cloud through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field; 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
  • TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire; must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
  • Experience working with, or are familiar with the differences between, public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and mixed cloud environments
  • Container technologies such as Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Deployment of continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef
  • Experience maintaining production-grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services) using automation
  • Creation of pipelines, Ansible Playbooks, and/or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from resource creation to service configuration
  • Scripting languages such as Bash, Groovy, Python, Powershell, and/or Scala
  • Effective communication and attention to detail
  • IT security practices including encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, or security hardening, and auditing
  • Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIO
  • Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift
  • Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer
  • Open source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (such as RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch)
  • Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX)/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms)
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
  • Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions
