Additional information about our data collection practices and location specific notices is available on our privacy policy.XAccept CookiesHospital Liaison - Patient TransportJob DetailsJob LocationMIDDLEFIELD OFFICE - MIDDLEFIELD, OHDescriptionCommunity Care Ambulance, a local not-for-profit leader in the mobile healthcare industry, is in search of a highly motivated and dependable Hospital Liaison to provide support to the team.Primary Job Duties at Liaison:
  • Assist in compiling the paperwork properly for the transfer in
  • Attempt to expedite the transfer.
  • Work with hospital staff and educate them on filling the paperwork out correctly - Goal is to train the staff to complete paperwork without assistance
  • Work with hospital staff and educate staff on proper Medical Necessity - Goal is to have 100 percent compliance with proper mode being selected
  • Electronically schedule and coordinate transportation as possible reducing phone calls into the center
  • Liaison between CCAN and the University Geauga Hospital relating to service issues and accolades on the case management/social work/nurse level.
  • Negotiate pick-up times with CCAN and facility assuring satisfaction
  • Orchestrate dispersal of transports between CCAN and designated vendors as needed
  • Be present when crew arrives at the facility and walk crew to the room where the patient is being discharged.
  • Be present on the floor when crew arrives for transport to assure smooth transition of patient.
  • Assure professional behavior and appearance of CCAN staff members. Report any violations.
  • Assist the billing department in obtaining any backlog of paperwork/PCS forms needed to bill the claims correctly.
  • Directly observe any other transportation companies coming and going from the facility - Report any and all observations
  • Assist in Lift assist needed by CCA staff at UH Geauga
  • Assist in waiting with patients at the facility (Wait and Returns) in order to free up drivers to continue transporting other patients as needed
  • Be knowledgeable and advise of potential public relations events the hospital is involved in
  • Attend selected events as requested by your direct manager
  • Keep apprised and make Management apprised of all event sponsored by the hospital and assist with attending such events when requested by your supervisor.
  • Occasionally visit other facilities in the area as needed and directed by your supervisor
Primary Job Duties as Patient Transport:
  • Transport any and All requested Wheelchair/Ambulatory patients from the hospital to their destination upon request
  • Transport Wheelchair patients down to the Patient Loading area to expedite transports.

  • High School Diploma and 4 Year Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 Years of experience in the Medical Field
  • Medical Terminology/Medical Necessity
  • Billing (MC,MA,INS) Policies and Procedures
  • Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft excel and ability to read spreadsheets
  • Customer Service Skills and Service Recovery Skills
  • Flexible scheduled is needed
  • Ability to work until the job is completed
  • After hour and weekend events (As directed)
