- B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- Experienced with Java programming language.
- Knowledge of RESTful services, as well as JSON parsing and querying.
- Proven experience with Big Data technologies, including processing and analyzing large-scale datasets.
- Proficient in NiFi for data integration, flow management, and system interoperability.
- Basic familiarity with cloud storage and compute services, such as AWS S3 and EC2, is essential.
- Proven experience mentoring junior engineers by providing guidance, code reviews, and technical leadership to foster professional growth.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a development team, drive technical decisions, and ensure best practices are followed in software architecture and implementation.
- Industry experience, preferably within the defense industry and/or intelligence community or related sectors, a plus.
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Capability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Awareness of ethical considerations and responsible AI practices.
- Experience with ETLs and APIs.
- Understanding of security products focusing on IAM.
- Capable of implementing Python services using Flask and have knowledge of RESTful services, JSON parsing and querying, as well as Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate data between various formats including JSON, Parquet, Avro, and proprietary formats used by Halo.
- Knowledge of Spark, Kafka, Parquet, and Airflow is preferred.
- Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
