We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep Java expertise and a background in low latency systems to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and maintaining high-performance applications within electronic trading environments. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.Starting at $225,000/year.Senior Software Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Design, develop, and optimize Java-based applications for low latency trading platforms
  • Work with market data (proprietary and SIP feeds), order management, and post-trade processing systems
  • Integrate and support the FIX Protocol for trading communications
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues in real-time, often within Linux environments
  • Contribute to ongoing automation and scripting tasks to enhance workflows and system resilience
Senior Software Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Java development, with a focus on low latency systems
  • Proven experience with electronic trading systems and FIX Protocol
  • Solid understanding of market data feeds (proprietary and SIP) and post-trade workflows
  • Strong Linux command line skills and comfort working in a Unix-based environment
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
