- Maintain processes and procedures, while adhering to established policies.
- Monitor new complex systems.
- Configure and install systems hardware or software and maintain server and domain security requirements.
- Solve complex networking and administration issues and use critical thinking to support network functionality alongside Network Technicians.
- Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications software.
- Manage accounts, network rights, access to systems and equipment.
- Resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems.
- Ensure systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
- Maintain systems configuration and manage the installation and integration of system fixes, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Perform feasibility studies on complex information systems and conduct in-depth analysis complicated by novel problems.
- Participate in Management meetings, discussions, committees, and special projects.
- Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- No supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance to new associates.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology; additional six (6) years of experience may substitute for a degree.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ of relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft System Administration and/or Linux Administration.
- Training: Technical Training in commercial or government fuel terminal/pipeline operations or projects to include experience with Automated Fuel Systems such as:
- Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE)
- Automated Tank Gauging (ATG)
- Independent Alarm System (IAS)
- Overfill Protection Equipment (OPE)
- Hydrant Fueling Automation Maintenance (HFAM) system.
- Hydrant Automation Monitoring System (HAMS)
- Electronic Leak Detection (ELD)
- Automated Fuel Service Station (AFSS) equipment.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
