VLinc is seeking a Power BI Developer & Data Analyst to support federal logistics programs through advanced data modeling, visualization, and predictive analytics. This role combines deep skills in Power BI, SQL, and Python with logistics domain knowledge to improve life cycle management, maintenance planning, and procurement forecasting. The ideal candidate has a strong analytics background and understands how to transform raw logistics and asset data into actionable insights to improve readiness, availability, and cost performance across large-scale sustainment systems.ResponsibilitiesPower BI Development:
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports that communicate key logistics performance indicators (KPIs), maintenance trends, and supply chain metrics.
  • Develop custom DAX measures, calculated columns, and complex data models from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, APIs).
  • Ensure user-friendly, interactive visuals for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Data Analytics and Forecasting:
  • Analyze logistics data related to asset lifecycle, maintenance events, failure rates, parts availability, and procurement cycles.
  • Use Python, SQL, and R to build data pipelines, clean datasets, and perform predictive modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Apply AI and machine learning techniques to support forecasting of inventory requirements, failure probability, and vendor performance.
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Analysis:
  • Support Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) development through historical and real-time data analysis.
  • Evaluate asset configuration data and serialized equipment health to inform sustainment decisions.
  • Conduct root cause and trend analysis to improve preventive maintenance planning and reduce system downtime.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Deliver comprehensive analysis reports and technical documentation in support of government requirements.
  • Ensure alignment with standards such as GEIA-STD-0007, DI-SESS-81874, and program-specific CDRLs.
  • Maintain robust version control and traceability across datasets and analytics tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with logistics managers, program analysts, engineers, and procurement personnel to align analytics with operational and contractual needs.
  • Support proposal teams with data-backed strategies, cost models, and readiness projections.
  • Engage with stakeholders to refine dashboard features, reporting cadence, and data architecture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Logistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analytics or business intelligence role, ideally supporting logistics or maintenance systems.
  • Advanced Power BI development skills, including custom visuals, DAX, row-level security, and dynamic filtering.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and data visualization or ETL tools.
  • Experience integrating data from logistics systems (e.g., Maximo, DPAS, SAP, ERP platforms).
  • Understanding of maintenance operations, inventory management, or federal lifecycle sustainment frameworks.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with DoD or DHS logistics operations and sustainment planning.
  • Experience with AI/ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of NSN assignment, BOM analysis, and provisioning logistics.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles in dashboard deployment (e.g., CMMC compliance).
