The Atlantic is in search of a highly collaborative, organized, ideas-driven and fast-moving editor to join the team. This person will primarily be responsible for managing a team of producers, editors, and engineers and will also provide direct editing support on episodes, as needed. This person will also work alongside the executive producer to collaborate on strategy, editorial direction, planning across shows, and new show development. We’re looking for someone who has keen news judgement and can work with hosts on complex episode ideas, and who knows how to motivate a team and keep it on schedule.
