As the ADON, you'll work alongside the Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a team of skilled licensed and non-licensed professionals. Together, you’ll ensure high-quality care is provided to the individuals served at our facility. This is a unique opportunity to support and mentor a team, while directly contributing to the well-being and care of those who depend on our services.
Key Responsibilities:Plan, Develop, and Supervise Nursing Activities
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee and guide nursing employees in providing health care services to individuals served at the facility.Policy Development and Compliance
Co-develop and coordinate nursing policies, procedures, and orientation training to align with regulatory, state, and federal guidelines.Employee Management and Development
Share responsibility for hiring, scheduling, training, appraising, and disciplining nursing staff to ensure proper staffing and quality care delivery.Performance Improvement and Risk Management
Advocate for performance improvement initiatives, patient safety, infection control, and risk management, while chairing performance improvement teams as needed.Clinical Oversight and Communication
Conduct nursing rounds, lead employee communication huddles, review work quality through chart audits, and facilitate improvements through education and counseling.
Qualifications & Requirements:Education:
- Required: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred: BS in Nursing.
- Required: Two (2) years' experience as a nursing supervisor, charge nurse, or other supervisory level position in psychiatric or medical surgical nursing.
- Required: Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment or possess a multi-state compact license recognized by the State of employment to practice professional nursing.
