2. Completes patient assessments.
a. Interviews patients/families/significant others at time of initial presentation to complete psychosocial history and assessment.
b. Documents clinical activities within established time frames according to department, hospital and regulatory agency standards.
3. Assists the Department's compliance with state, JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.
a. Participates in preparation for inspections surveys, and audits.
b. Participates in ongoing unit Performance Improvement activities.
4. Communicates effectively with patients/peers/families/treatment team.
a. Returns patient/family phone calls and documents.
b. Provides peer/treatment team consultation when asked.
c. Uses computer as required for E-mail, scheduling, authorizations, insurance tracking, etc.
5. Provides and participates in Educational Activities.
a. Provides and documents patient/family education.
b. Participates in staff education both as participant and presenter.
c. Makes recommendations for staff development.
d. Serves on Hospital committees and participates in other related projects as directed.
6. Complies with requirements for credentialed status as required.
a. Completes timely credentialing and re-credentialing paperwork.
b. Maintains active licensures.
c. Completes C.E.U.'s required for continued licensure.
“Ability to perform the Essential Functions on the Physical Conditions chart; and the ability to perform the Essential Functions on the Working Conditions chart (see attached charts)”1. Delivers services in school setting.
a. Screens and assesses high risk students for appropriateness of referral to treatment programs.
b. Provides education/in-services for schools.
c. Provides case consultation to school personnel as requested.
- 1-2 years recent experience in Behavioral Health environment. .
