- Drive Collaboration across Caterpillar IT and digital capabilities to leverage industry leading and effective solutions deployed within Caterpillar.
- Drive alignment with the Enterprise Data Strategy within solutions.
- Develop and maintain current, planned and future state architecture blueprints.
- Mentor Technical leads to build a legacy for support and future enhancements.
- Maintain assigned portions of the EA portal as a communication vehicle to the enterprise.
- Ensure programs maintain an enterprise-wide view to support adoption of standards and practices and promote reuse.
- Develop, improve, validate, and use tools to facilitate Enterprise Architecture efforts.
- Lead in the development and alignment of the IT roadmaps with the IT and business strategy.
- Lead in the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture. Initiate and deliver Strategic Roadmaps and gain commitment for enterprise level architecture.

- Business Skills & Methods: In-depth knowledge in business case development, business process mapping, strategic planning.
- Business Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Order Management, Opportunity & Sales Cycle Mgmt., Customer Account Mgmt., Sales Performance Mgmt., Sales Contract Mgmt., and Sales & Operations Planning processes.
- Enterprise Architecture Skills: Expert knowledge in Architecture modeling, building block design, applications and role design and systems integration
- Program or Project Management Skills: Managing business change, project management methods and tools, etc.
- IT General Knowledge Skills: Extensive knowledge in brokering applications, asset management, migration planning, SLAs, etc.
- Typically, this position will require an accredited, four-year Information Technology degree, a closely related technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Progressively related experience recognition as a domain expert is necessary.
- Deep expertise in one to many areas including security, data interchange, data management, network, database, servers, storage, collaboration or other technical areas.
- TOGAF training or similar framework and advanced degree in a relevant field are highly desirable.
- Experience in multiple business processes or organizations and experience in multiple IT disciplines is also beneficial.
- Good technical, communication and influential skills are required.
- Good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards and procedures, with broad understanding of Caterpillar's organization.
- This position has the option to be based out of either our Peoria, IL; Nashville, TN or Irving, TX offices
- Will work 3 days a week onsite
