Description :The Lead Patient Appeals position requires an associate’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two years of hospital experience in registration and/or patient accounts or a physician office practice required. Medical and insurance terminology, including Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing with peers, superiors, payers, physicians, ancillary departments, etc. Ability to manage time, deadlines, maintain productivity, and to exercise judgment with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner. Proactively keeps others informed of workflow status. Requires analytical skills to be able to assist in preparing reports monthly or as needed. Must be proficient in billing and collection practices. Ability to work independently and as a team.High School diploma or GED is required. One year of experience working in a hospital or physician collections/centralized billing function is preferred. Strong analytics and organization skills with a strong attention to detail. Leadership skills are essential.Caring for you as you care for the CommUNITY

Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable.
