This policy includes, but is not limited to: recruitment, employment, promotion, demotion, transfer, termination, compensation, benefits, layoffs, training, and social and recreational programs.Salary: $32,000 – $35,100Educational Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentCertification/License Requirements:Peer Support Specialist Certification (TRADPSS preferred)Duties & Responsibilities:Provide social and emotional support, advocacy, and consumer information to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.Partner with participants and treatment team members to support individualized recovery and wellness goals.Offer support to individuals and families who have overdosed or are at risk of overdose.Link participants with appropriate resources and services.Conduct community outreach in areas impacted by behavioral health crises.Collaborate with community partners to strengthen support networks and recovery opportunities.Experience Required:Must be a self-identified consumer of mental health services diagnosed with a mental illness or substance use disorder.Successful completion of Peer Support Specialist training.Understanding of the recovery process and ability to use personal experience to support others.Preferred: Experience working in crisis or residential settings.Minimum of 3 years sobriety (for applicants in recovery from substance use).This is a full time position
