Job Description

Position Description
  • Assist with general administrative, clerical, and analytical tasks to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as state and federal law. This position requires strict confidentiality along with strong, ethical behavior characteristics.
  • Affirmative Action Plan Administration;
  • Gather, prepare, sort, track and analyze data.
  • Monitor progress and data against goals established in the Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Conduct compliance audits on the recruiting process.
  • Educate the HR community on their affirmative action plans and goals.
  • Assist with implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA);
  • Help to manage third party vendor who administers FMLA to workforce.
  • Work with plant HRBP’s on complex and/or new FMLA leave situations, research Act and provide guidance to plants on how to administer such leaves.
  • Train HRBP’s on systems and tools of use.
  • Unemployment Claim Management;
  • Help to manage third party vendor who handles unemployment claims.
  • Ensure POA’s are in place and IT feeds are working.
  • Train HRBP’s on systems and tools of use.
  • Business Ethics Program;
  • Organize, maintain and order awareness material.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Sarbanes Oxley Audits;
  • Gather, prepare, and assist with testing of data.
  • Review and revise existing business processes.
  • Organize and file audit data.
  • Assist with government mandated reporting;

Required Skills and Education

Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Willing to take on new projects on an as needed basis.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Critical thinker.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Strong initiative, oral/written communication skills and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and exhibit continuous learning behaviors.
Preferred Qualification(s) * Experience with Workday’s HRIS and applicant tracking system.

Position Requirements
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Student must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Must possess career interest in employment, staffing, recruiting, and general human resource practices.
  • Must be available to work full time: Monday – Friday 40 hours a week.
  • Must be available for at least 2 full semesters.
  • Graduation date of May 2021 or later.
  • 3.0 GPA minimum required
