Learn more about our in our .Project Overview:Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure GlobalBusiness Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers.Job Summary:In this role, you will operate and maintain plant equipment and systems according to process design requirements. You will generate operating, inventory, and shift reports and will monitor, identify, test, analyze, evaluate, and resolve equipment or supply issues. Your frequent monitoring and data analysis will ensure equipment and systems are successfully and continuously operating as designed. #LI-SP1Major Responsibilities:General
  • Leads support of basic Startup Specialist duties of installation configuration validation and work package development
Work Planning & Packaging
  • Plans and schedules CSU execution activities including sequence and resource requirements for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Prepares Startup Work Packages and Test Work Packages for assigned areas of responsibility
Turnover Coordination
  • Participates in Construction to CSU turnover walkdowns for assign areas of responsibility
  • Interfaces with the Field Engineer as required to support component/system turnover
Material Mgmt. & Quantities
  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases and prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment
  • Tracks field purchases and other purchases required for CSU using procurement systems or other database programs as
requiredQuality Control
  • Performs walkdowns to validate that the system configuration is in accordance with the design
  • Performs and/or monitors testing of equipment to assure conformance with specifications and compliance with test procedures,
that work methods are undertaken safely and activities are supported to meet schedule and costES&H
  • Identifies and resolves/elevates ES&H issues in the field and is a visible 'walk the talk' leader in good ES&H practices
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
  • Experience in the design of LNG facilities.
  • Extensive and a broad technical experience of commissioning, startup, operation, maintenance, and testing of Electrical
Systems/Components of Oil & Gas Processing Facilities. * Knowledge and Understanding of engineering systems, applications of startup and operations; and previous experience inindustrial Electrical Commissioning roles. * knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to startup, maintenance, operations, or testing.
  • Possesses effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise
manner. Collaborates well in a team environment. * Good leadership skills & able to supervise craft for testing, startup, and operations activity.
  • Understands project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination, and fabrication.
