
Electrical and Instrumentation Service Technician

- Reads electrical drawings.
- Installs conduit, power, and control wiring.
- Troubleshoots electrical control panels with power feeds up to 600VAC.
- Builds electrical control panels with power feeds up to 600VAC.
- Configures and calibrates instrumentation.
- Configures, installs and troubleshoots Variable Frequency Drive's.
- Configures tunes and operates PID controllers.
- Loads, troubleshoots, and tests PLC and HMI programs.
- Works with Ethernet communication networks.
- Works collaboratively with Account Managers, Application Engineers, and other internal staff.
- Understands and ensures compliance with NEC regulations and UL quality standards.
- Works with customers in the field, requiring approximately 10% overnight travel time and ability to travel via air.
- Troubleshoots equipment and system problems utilizing basic test equipment.
- Assists customers during new equipment start-ups.
- Accurately prepares required customer and Crane documentation.
- Periodically assists with building and grounds maintenance and annual inventory.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong Attention to detail
- Ability to effectively perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Knowledge of pumps, motors, VFD's, instrumentation, valves and fluid process equipment preferred.
- Familiar with NEC regulations, UL 508A a plus.
- Understands the interaction between the various parts of a system such as fluid power, mechanical, electrical/electronic and the interfacing required for operation.

- An ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload to meet customer requirements for projects.
- An ability to work in Wastewater Municipal facilities.
- A well-organized and self-directed team player.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to work occasional overtime. Participates in the after-hours on-call emergency service program per Crane requirements.
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
