Job Category: QualityJob Description:Job Summary:Under direct supervision, performs audits of the production line to ensure conformance to DENSO standards. Conducts product receiving, tracking, inspection, disassembly, investigation, disposition and documentation of returned warranty and product defect-claimed parts.Key Responsibilities: * Conducts comprehensive dimensional metrology examination for new product development to ensure conformance to engineering drawings and quality standards. Documents all measurements for use by engineers in product validation.
  • Performs inspection of products from suppliers per AQL Sampling. Records all findings according to established process, coordinating with others as appropriate. Uses Material Alert and Rejection Notice systems to document product quality issues, process rejected parts, issues Rejection Notices (RN)/Work Orders (WO) and follow-up with suppliers for countermeasures (corrective actions).
  • Performs sorting activities along with senior Quality Inspector and warehouse personnel to efficiently and quickly contain non-conforming product and release good product. Assures findings are recorded and communicates results and pertinent information to relevant personnel.
  • Participate in audits of the production line to ensure conformance to established processes and DENSO standards. Collaborate on issuing corrective actions reports when non-conformance is identified.
  • Collaborates with quality engineers, production, QA supervisor/manager, as well as others, on defect investigation finding to identify root cause and implement countermeasures.
  • Responsible for keeping quality assurance area and/or quality control area organized and efficient.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Level of Education and Training Required:Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 0-3 years of related experience.Minimum Level of Knowledge and Skills Required: * Good written and oral communication skills
  • Competency in use of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
  • Ability to use mechanical inspection tools, forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to read and understand starter and alternator drawings/specifications.
  • Attention to detail, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, gives and welcomes feedback, establishes and maintains good working relationships throughout the company by supporting others

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (occasionally loud from running machines). Uses hazardous materials for cleaning/lubricating parts such as solvents, alcohol, paint thinners, oils and anti-freeze. Uses electrical equipment with voltage up to 600 volts. Some exposure to fumes. On occasion during activities conducted in warehouse, the associate is exposed to moving mechanical parts and material handling equipment; and temperature extremes vary from very hot summer (up to 90 degrees) to very cold in winter (down to 50 degrees).
