- Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for commodity and/or suppliers while leveraging DPC/LNCA tools/best practices.
- Sourcing strategies that will deliver on the required cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and supply chain resiliency metrics.
- Manages supplier relationships and their scorecard performance.
- Develops supply business resiliency in current and future supply base by ensuring the supplier has capacity, capability, and inventory management to support business dynamics.
- Leads negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements, optimizing costs without compromising quality or service levels.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders (finance, operations, purchasing, planning, engineering, product management, etc.) to understand their needs and assure alignment with current and future sourcing strategies.
- Monitors market trends and developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Evaluates and address risk factors related to current and future supply base, ensuring consent with company policies and industry regulations.
- Responsible for site LNCA supplier management metrics and consent, including CSR, Risk Management, and Supplier Financial Health and others as required.
- Point of escalation for critical shortages to ensure Operations can protect business continuity.
- Collaborates with supply chain and engineering teams on supplier development, supplier setup, audit and compliance.
- Maintains accurate and up to date purchasing data in ERP system, including negotiated cost, price break information to support efficient procurement and planning processes.
- Owns full responsibility for releasing initial purchase order for new products introduction (FAR/FPEs) ensuring timely delivery to support product qualifications and launch schedules.
- Communicates Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to suppliers in timely and accurate manner, ensuring full understanding of the technical changes and associated requirements.
- Conducts other tasks applicable to sourcing as needed.
- BA or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Project management and certification a plus.
- 5 + years of supply chain or sourcing experience.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
- Foundational knowledge of copper, fiber and physical support product a plus.
- Strong computer skills (MS Teams, Smartsheet, Excel to include Pivot Tables, Power Point).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs/projects, sound organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to apply mechanical principles to solve problems through ingenuity and collaboration with subject matter experts and key stakeholders.
