- Organizing and Cataloging: Assist in organizing and cataloging samples of raw materials including fabrics, trims, hardware, and other components used in garment production.
- Inventory Management: Support in maintaining accurate inventory records of all materials within the library, tracking quantities, and updating as new materials are received or existing ones are utilized.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on new and sustainable materials in the fashion industry, compiling relevant data and presenting findings to the team.
- Sample Requests: Assist in fulfilling sample requests from various departments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with design, production, and sustainability teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives related to materials sourcing, development, and innovation.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all materials, including specifications, sourcing information, sustainability certifications, and other relevant details.
- Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and organization of the raw materials library space, ensuring it remains clean, orderly, and accessible to all team members.
- Open to college junior/senior level students and recent graduates with a major in Fashion Design, Apparel Management, Textiles, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management systems is a plus.
- Passion for sustainability and interest in exploring innovative materials and technologies in the fashion industry.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday (40 hours/week) for duration of internship program. Internship dates: June 3 - August 9
