When acting in that capacity, incumbents will receive premium pay and will be expected to take handle the additional duties listed in this addendum.Responsibilities In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the EMT job description, MICU EMT’s are also responsible to handle transports of the most critical patients to the hospital, or to and from facilities as needed. The MICU EMT is responsible for driving the MICU vehicle and should be competent in all equipment that is used on the MICU vehicle.Qualifications In addition to the qualifications already outlined in the EMT-Basic job description the following are also required:
Follow Basic EMT scope of practice
Required to attend annual competencies for MICU staff, to be competent in the following: Cardiac monitor, IV pumps, Chest tubes, Ventilator and the set-up of said equipment.
