Position Overview:The Adhesive Project Manager serves as a critical link between the sales team, customers, and internal technical resources. This role provides adhesive application expertise to support sales growth, ensure successful product integration, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Adhesive Project Manager collaborates with customers, R&D, and manufacturing teams to deliver tailored solutions and manage adhesive-related projects from concept to commercialization.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the technical expert on adhesive products, providing guidance during customer trials, product evaluations, and application development.Support the Sales team by preparing technical documentation, customer presentations, and project proposals.Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing to ensure customer requirements are met for product performance, quality, and delivery.Conduct root cause analysis and provide troubleshooting support to resolve product or application issues in the field.Coordinate adhesive-related projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.Interface directly with customers to understand application needs and translate those into actionable internal projects.Support new product launches, including customer onboarding, training, and post-launch technical support.Maintain an active understanding of market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to inform product and service improvements.Travel to customer sites as needed to support field trials, training, and issue resolution.Perform additional duties and cross-functional collaboration as required.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical field.3–5 years of experience in adhesives, materials, or product development in a customer-facing or project management role.Familiarity with adhesives, laminating systems, surface prep, and application equipment.Experience working with customers in a manufacturing or technical sales environment.Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across teams.Technical & Interpersonal Skills:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.Highly organized, self-motivated, and customer-oriented.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM or project tracking tools is a plus.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments.Ability to travel up to 30% to customer sites, vendor locations, and other facilities as needed.Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs.) and hands-on work during product trials or troubleshooting.
