Develop the Facility Section SOW Coordinate the Installation Bid Package: Collaborate with Purchasing to determine contractor bid list Collaborate frequently with internal and external stakeholders on matters such as: Structural Steel | Truss Reinforcing | Column Changes | Tool Support | Concrete | Main Equipment Pits (Rolls Test, Alignment, Engine Decking Loop, Operator, Conveyor) | Squeak and Rattle Track Frequent Work With: Mechanical Systems: HVAC | Pumps | Compressed Air piping (headers, equipment connections) | Fire Protection and Alarm modifications | Fuel and Tank Farm modifications | Nitrogen Systems | AC, Radiator, and Brake Fill infrastructure systems. Electrical Work: Identify infrastructure modifications, design, and distribution. Facilities Implementation: Support facility layout development, including engineering input, field checks and coordination with key stake-holders Lead development of on-site construction facilities plan and layout; e.g., Contractor offices and storage requirements, utility tie-ins and capacity, Ford personnel on-site support facilities, Contractor lay down areas, etc. Lead development of special safety, environmental and/or emergency response requirements Support receipt of all applicable implementation permits and related documentation prior to commencing work; e.g., environmental permits, local building permits, insurance certificates, etc. Support submittal of applicable implementation labor agreements and related documentation prior to commencing work; e.g., local and national maintenance agreements, labor clearances, etc. Lead project close-out process, including verification and storage of as-built documentation, receipt and storage of maintenance documents and spare parts recommendations, buy-off book(s) and related documentation, etc. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Mechanical) 3+ years of experience performing mechanical system engineering analysis, layout and detail design of conveyance/ automation systems, tool related utility services and general building facilities typically used in manufacturing/assembly facilities; automotive assembly/stamping plant experience preferred Ability to travel and remain on site as install/launch team member at all Ford North America plants; i.e., USA, Canada and Mexico Basic working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles as applied to manufacturing/assembly plants, including development of performance/compliance metrics Basic working knowledge of discreet event simulation as applied to manufacturing/assembly plants with emphasis on providing proper input data and interpreting simulation results Advanced working knowledge of Auto CAD software for plant layout Basic working knowledge of MS Office software applications. Basic working knowledge of MS Project planning software for execution of manufacturing equipment and building system projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently, in a team environment, with minimal supervision Cost estimating experience PMP Certification
