As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting Cloud-based solutions with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Intune. This role will head migrations from on-premises systems to the Microsoft Cloud, establish standards for device policies and security management through Intune, and provide technical guidance on projects tailored for SMB client environments. The Systems Engineer will work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver secure, scalable and efficient solutions that align with business needs.This position is Remote/Hybrid, but applicants must be based around one of our primary localities: Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, VirginiaSalary: $90,000 - $120,000 annually, based on experienceRequirementsResponsibilities:· Design, implement and support Microsoft Azure services including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security· Head the design, deployment and ongoing management of Microsoft Intune, including standards development, compliance policies, device configuration and security baselines· Head and support migrations from on-premises file servers to OneDrive and SharePoint Online· Provide daily support for cloud and hybrid environments via projects and service tickets· Assist with client onboarding, cloud migrations and modernization projects· Participate in pre-sales calls with clients and prospects to assess needs related to Azure, Microsoft 365 migrations, and Intune, collaborating with the Solutions Architect and others to help create Statements of Work (SOWs) for the Client Services team· Ensure adherence to security best practices across cloud and hybrid environments· Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases· Participate in on-call rotation for escalated support as requiredQualifications:· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience· 3+ years of IT systems engineering/administration experience, with emphasis on Cloud technologies· 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365· Extensive hands-on experience implementing and managing Microsoft Intune, including the ability to design solutions, establish standards, and lead Intune deployments in diverse SMB client environments· Successful track record of completing Microsoft 365 migration projects (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)· Proven ability to diagnose complex system problems, identify root causes, and develop remediation strategies· Strong organizational and project management skills, including planning, collaboration, and managing client expectations· Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, identity, and security)· Proven project-based experience with Microsoft Intune, including design, deployment, policy creation, and ongoing administration, not just operational knowledge· Ability to lead Intune initiatives, establish standards, and guide clients/teams in best practices for endpoint security, device management, and compliance· Demonstrated end-to-end project experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, including data, email, and collaboration workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams), with the ability to resolve complex migration issues and guide clients through the transition· Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, firewalls, WAN/LAN connectivity)· Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills· Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work with minimal supervision· Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred Certifications/Qualifications:· Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)· Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar role-based certification· Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals (AZ-900, MS-900, SC-900)· Additional certifications in security or networking are a plusSalary Description$90,000-$120,000 annually, based on experience
