Sets up testing apparatus and conducts quality assurance/control tests of raw materials, parts, components, finished items, packaging, equipment and systems. Performs final tests on sub-assemblies or completed units as necessary to ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and chemical performance. Testing a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures
Configuring, interpreting, recording, or setting up and operating various test stands
Utilizing tools to test and troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level.
Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics.
Communicating work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down, engineering, maintenance, job progression, audits).
Utilizing theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components.
Writing in a clear and concise technical manner.
Performing proper loading and unloading of electronic equipment in test beds.
Compiling with applicable elements of quality systems and participates in continuous improvement efforts (CORE).
Acquiring applicable skill/knowledge/certification as required.
Compiling with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs.
Utilizing computer tools such as SAP and accurately follows work instructions.
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Work Environment

You may occasionally need to provide weekend and holiday support to meet customer needs.
In your role, you will be exposed to:

Products of various weights and sizes
Equipment with moving parts
Chemicals that may emit fumes
To minimize safety risk to you and product, you must wear static-control and personal protective equipment.

Physical Demands

Due to the nature of our work, you will need to be able to perform the following functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
Distinguishing colors and meeting vision requirements
Bending, stooping, reaching, turning as needed to place units in test stands, pick up totes, place units on rack, etc.
Using hands for extended periods of time to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks (e.g. grasping, holding, picking, placing, twisting, fine manipulation)
Must be able to stand for 2 hour increments without an opportunity to sit
Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Transporting product with or without product carts

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a HS Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

Associate’s degree in Electronics and/or certification in Electronics
Experience with component level troubleshooting
Experience in aerospace industry
Experience with thermal tables, vibrational tables, and test rigs.
Experience with electronics repair
