Do you enjoy leading a team and using your financial skills to support strategic decisions?If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.We are looking for an experienced and reliable Financial Controller to join our team and take charge of our financial operations.You will oversee all accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. You will be responsible for reporting, compliance and supporting business decisions with timely financial insights.If you’re ready to take on a key financial leadership role in a firm that values your expertise, we’d love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and variances.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in governmental accounting standards.
  • Implement and maintain financial software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial statements to ensure adherence to double-entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support organizational goals.
  • Train and mentor accounting staff to enhance their skills and promote professional development.

The Person
  • Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
  • Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in financial report writing and analysis, with a solid understanding of financial software applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex financial information.
