This role will be responsible for providing cost accounting and finance support and partnership to manufacturing and operational leadership at the Prescott EPDM plant.You will participate in oversight of all cost accounting; operational reporting as may be needed. You will work closely with operations, engineering, warehouse, cage stores, material handling and IT both collaboratively & cross-functionally to support successful operational and financial performance. Key activities are strategic decision-making analysis, and managing effective and efficient product costing, reporting processes, supporting proper management of the existing ERP, and participating in the implementation of a new ERP system.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Financial assessment of risks via account reconciliation and variance analysis. Including GR/IR account.
  • Perform CapEx payback analysis and provide analytical data to engineering and operations team.
  • Oversight of overhead calculation, product costing, ERP updates related to overrates application, P&L review, and oversight as it relates to financial margins, product margins, variance analysis.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
  • Participate in monthly closing cycle, reconciliations, journal entries and GL management. Participate in monthly financial closing and reporting.
  • Participate in supporting operations on proper BOM creation, review of routings, production, and financial variance analysis. Manage materials' variance analysis (Price & Usage).
  • Be the finance expert to manufacturing leadership and quickly gain respect, trust, and credibility by prompt delivery of actions and subject matter expertise.
  • Provide a frugality perspective and quick strategic decision-making support to Manufacturing to evaluate alternative approaches including participation in ERP implementation and / or enhancements.
  • Knowledge of repetitive manufacturing. Must support other projects as they are assigned. Must maintain an open mindset to other projects which may be outside of costing.
  • Establish closed loop process and controls to review regular cost yield and variance analysis to confirm the accuracy of product standard costs. Ensure management execution of change related actions.
  • Partner and support Manufacturing management with regular financial and operational key performance reviews including variance analysis and informed commentary.
  • Participate in supporting all audits and internal control operations.
  • Manage and support year end audits, review, and other regulatory filing requirements.
  • Provides guidance to other team members on appropriate methodology for process or data analysis and financial reporting with IFRS.
  • Must have significant understanding with CAS (cost accounting standards) Standards.
#IND1JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: · Candidate must have a University Degree (BA or BS) with an emphasis in accounting. A minimum of five years of cost accounting manufacturing industry experience required with a preference of overall 7 years of experience. Only candidates with an accounting and/or finance degree (BA or BS) will be considered.
  • CMA certified
  • Strong Manufacturing ERP experience required (SAP preferred).
  • Strong Excel skills required.
  • Strong process or data analysis skills with proven results showing ability to influence, work with cross functional teams and pull together disparate resources into a high performing team.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Ability to communicate effectively and work with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong team player
  • Significant experience with CAS standards (cost accounting standards).
  • Numerate and process and data analysis skills a must have.
  • Significant interaction with production and floor shop team. You must be willing and interested to walk through the floor shop regularly to understand the production process.
