
Global Product Stewardship and Compliance Leader

- Develop and implement global strategies that promote safe, sustainable, and responsible product use throughout the lifecycle—from R&D to disposal.
- Conduct health, environmental, and liability risk assessments for product portfolios, including new product development and M&A projects.
- Provide sound technical solutions to chemical regulatory management compliance issues by maintaining working knowledge of related regulations and adapting to evolving regulatory trends.
- Provide guidance to the business and appropriate functions on how new laws, regulations or legislation will impact our business operations or overall strategy.
- Represent the company in select industry groups and as representative on relevant issues.
- Manage and mentor teams of product stewardship and compliance specialists across multiple regions.
- Provide customers with accurate safety information and respond to stewardship inquiries, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Work closely with product development, marketing, legal, and supply chain teams to align compliance goals with business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Quality, EHS, Product Development, Supply Chain, and manufacturing) to develop and deliver strategies to obtain approvals and maintain compliance through lifecycle.
- Develop and Manage indicators and dashboards to track performance and improve functional efficiency or effectiveness.
- Ensure necessary information systems and tools are in place and maintained to meet requirements for compliance and business support needs
- Oversee global standards, guidelines and systems and drive processes/execution.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in science discipline
- 10+ years experience in product safety/stewardship function
- In-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and issues
- Global leadership experience (3+years)
- Effective change management skills and demonstrated ability to lead and inspire positive change
- Relationship management and networking skills
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts
- Ability to engage and present to senior leaders on regulatory strategic direction
- Experience working with cross-functional, multi-cultural and virtual teams
