Roofing Foreman in San Francisco Bay Area

- Relevant Journeyman and/or Trade experience, including previous supervisory and project management
- Valid CA Driver’s license with clean driving record
- Authorized to work in the U.S
- Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
- Verbal and written skills
- Ability to use/learn business technology
- Knowledge of low-slope and pitched roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques (single-ply, shingles, ceramic tile, torch down, coatings, waterproofing)
- Manage 2-3 Team Leads who directly supervise job crews
- Monitor productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards
- Troubleshoot any issues involving workers, subcontractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions
- Job time management and scheduling, including reviewing daily time entries and completing labor reports
- Coordinate subcontractor scheduling and the delivery and placement of on-site materials and equipment as required to execute each project phase
- Resource planning
- Lead team training
- Mentor, motivate, and develop healthy team communication
- Communicate effectively with the office as needed
- Monitor and report daily on project schedule and budget
- Decision-making for daily operations
- Order, pickup materials and interact with suppliers
- Maintain a working knowledge of plans, specifications, and materials for assigned jobs
- Perform all other related duties as directed by supervisor
This is a physically demanding position. Qualified applicants must be capable of working at elevations and performing strenuous activity relative to staging, carrying, and disposing of roofing material and equipment. Routine job duties require physical abilities such as safely walking on roofs, climbing ladders, and general construction demands. Working conditions may include various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind and noise levels ranging from moderate to loud.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, potentially up to eight hours daily.
- Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and twisting.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet in height.
- Ability to speak and hear clearly to communicate safety instructions and understand others.
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
