- Develops proactive measures to eliminate or mitigate risk of productions errors.
- Reviews materials, print codes, and postage for each job and makes notes according to procedure.
- Works with managers to troubleshoot all quality concerns.
- Conducts internal audits and assists in corrective actions when necessary.
- Identifies inefficiencies and implements changes to reduce waste and improve accuracy and delivery time.
- Develops schedules and manpower requirements based on client expectations, equipment efficiencies, and staffing.
- Approves vacation requests and adjusts schedules as necessary to prevent any gaps in the monitoring of production work.
- Conducts trainings and holds monthly meetings to ensure all QA team members understand and apply standard operating procedures.
- Provides relevant and timely feedback on QA team performance and issues disciplinary actions as needed.
- Prepares regular reports for production leadership and the Client Services team.
- Schedules and facilitates regular meetings to review production reports; participates fully in discussions to identify root causes for errors and create solutions to prevent errors from happening.
- The QAS approves time off requests, adjusts schedules, conducts training, and ensures actions for QA team members.
- Serves as the primary QA contact for DMS's western operations.
- Completes additional assignments and special projects from the Quality Director as needed.

- Learns and adheres to all information technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Learns and adheres to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety.
- Adheres to all other DMS policies and procedures.
- Completes all required compliance training on time and in good faith.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Five to ten years' relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance
- Solid working knowledge of relevant regulatory and quality standards and metrics
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheet and analysis tools
- Knowledge of different direct mail fold types and USPS regulations
- Knowledge of the direct mail sortation, print, and pre-press processes
