Position ID: 173372ShareJob Description:Function of Position:The Program Coordinator II/Instructor will be responsible for the classroom or clinical groups/hours identified by the LPN Program Coordinator I. The Program Coordinator II/Instructor is responsible for day-to-day operations, instruction, and/or the clinical experience for the time/class. Flexible work hours are mandatory to meet program needs.*This is a temporary position that may be renewed annually contingent upon availability of college budget and performance reviews. This position is eligible for paid time off and benefits.Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:Primary Functions:
- Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of subject.
- Teaches courses and evaluates student performance per guidelines set by the department, MCC, and NYS; ensures compliance with all reporting and data tracking requirements.
- Works with facilities to select clinical assignments for students.
- Supervises students in class, lab, and clinical.
- Maintains collegial relationships with clinical faculty and meets all requirements of clinical facility.
- Facilitate all day-to-day operations of practical nurse classroom or clinical to include instruction, assessments, and tracking attendance.
- Stays current in nursing and actively participates in professional development.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Program Coordinator I/Instructor, LPN
- Adheres to the College Code of Conduct.

- Maintains technological competencies utilized by the College.

- Valid NYS RN license.
- Earned bachelor's degree in Nursing or actively enrolled in B.S. degree program from a regionally-accredited higher education institution.
- Minimum of five years' clinical nursing experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- An understanding of and commitment to the mission and philosophy of the community college and the Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services (EDIWS) Division.
- Experience in and understanding of non-traditional pathways and serving diverse populations of students.
- Earned master's degree or higher in Nursing from a regionally-accredited higher education institution
- Prior LPN program experience.
- Experience in a variety of healthcare settings to include med-surge, ob, pediatrics, and behavioral.
- Demonstrated successful community college teaching experience, evaluating nursing programs and curriculum outcomes, and program improvement planning desirable.
- Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
