- Active license as a Registered Nurse or LPN in the State of Kentucky
- 2 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse or LPN preferred
- Substance abuse experience preferred
- Conducts Nursing Assessments and monitoring of clients
- Member of the Treatment Team.
- Handles the medication management; trains staff on medication dispensing.
- Ensures Universal Precautions of the center.
- Facilitates Health Education groups including General Health Education, Medication/Drug Interactions.
- Observe and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow the prescribed course of treatment.
- Determines and implements specific protocol as designated by the Doctor.
- The Nurse is expected to protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with the general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.
- Maintain a respectful relationship with clients.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with staff and consumers alike.
- Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
- Ability to interact with a multidisciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
- Have the ability to communicate with the Case Manager and assist in ensuring the safety of the client.
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which is related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
- Must have the ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Attention to detail and organization a must.
- Computer literate with experience in a Windows environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize work and work-related responsibilities
