This position serves as the school's lead contact for student information systems, ensures compliance with state and federal reporting requirements, and supports school operations through clear communication and organized data practices.Examples of Work Performed:Manages the full enrollment and registration process for all students, including intake, student file creation, and onboarding.Oversees and maintains complete and accurate student records in the Native American Student Information System (NASIS).Serves as the designated school contact for all student information system functions, including troubleshooting, updating, and coordinating data entry.Utilizes advanced skills in student data platforms to ensure consistency, integrity, and timely reporting across systems.Processes student withdrawals and facilitates transfers between other school districts or programs, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.Prepares and issues official transcripts, student verifications, and records requests.Collaborates with administration and counseling staff to track academic progress and graduation requirements.Maintains and files cumulative records and documentation in accordance with FERPA and BIE compliance.Coordinates the collection and submission of final grades, attendance, and quarterly/annual reporting.Supports digital platforms such as Final Forms for registration and parent communication.Manages front office reception duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, and assisting with inquiries.Delegates daily office tasks as needed to ensure efficient, responsive, and organized operations.Serves as a key contributor to the school's positive climate by modeling professionalism and building rapport with students, families, and staff.Participates in schoolwide efforts to promote culture, communication, and parent engagement.Performs other duties as assigned by administrator.This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Anything over the weight limit should be done with a two-person lift or with a mechanical lift.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works indoors, occasionally working near visual displays. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or GED.At least two (2) years of experience in administrative support, office coordination, or student data management.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex data accurately and confidentially.Proficiency in office software and demonstrated experience working within student information systems.Strong interpersonal skills and a welcoming, respectful communication style.Commitment to cultural responsiveness and serving Native students and families.Required to fingerprint check in accordance with 25 CFR 63.Must possess a current First Aid/CPR card.Must have no history of child abuse or neglect and drug or alcohol abuse.Required to pass a pre-employment background check.Required to pass a pre-employment drug test.Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Yakama Nation Driving permit.Preferred Requirements:Associate's degree or relevant coursework in office administration, education, or a related field.Familiarity with student information systems such as NASIS and other commonly used school platforms.Experience managing school transcripts, credit tracking, and enrollment audits.Background in tribal education systems or Native-serving schools.Bilingual or biliterate in English and Yakama or Spanish.Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
