Job Summary - Responsible for driving a tractor-trailer in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures to transport various materials in a safe and timely manner.Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe prepared to deliver materials to company customers as specified on paperwork.Maintain and coordinate appropriate deliver/pickup related paperworkProperly secure and cover delivery and pick up loads according to DOT regulations and company policy or as directed by management.Perform routine vehicle inspections and report to traffic departmentMaintain logs and other appropriate paperwork as required by DOT regulation and company policyBack hauling of loads as requiredComplete periodic communications to Traffic Department upon completion of each delivery and / or pickup stopMust be flexible to constantly changing conditions as they relate to work schedule and project site conditionsSafety sensitive for his/her owns safety and/or of others safety.All drivers must attend all required training including quarterly and annual training.Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasksEnthusiastic team player with a motivating positive attitudeCommitted to a workplace of culture and respect.Dependable and consistent attendance/punctualityComply with all DOT, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCRs), and/or Company Policy regarding the operations of your vehicle.Special projects as assigned by management.Job may require tarping on certain loads.Enjoy Work-Life Balance - All routes return home daily.
