As a Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and sustaining the portfolio of devices, providing technical assistance, and assisting PEO STRI's Project Managers, Product Managers, and Assistant Program Managers (APMs) to perform their responsibilities for life cycle management In Accordance With (IAW) Army Regulation (AR) 350-38, Policies and Management for Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS), dated 02 February 2018, W-TRS TO, and this TDL 019.C.TDL-019 is Constructive Intelligence Systems (CIS) and is comprised of 8 TADSS to support Mission command for both Operational & Institutional Army. CIS is defined as the following systems:Common Battle Command Simulations Equipment (CBCSE)Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC)Intelligence, Electronic Warfare Tactical Proficiency Trainer (IEWTPT),Technical Control Cell (TCC)Live, Virtual, Constructive – Integrating Architecture (LVC-IA)Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical-Terminal (SMART-T)Tactical Ground Station Maintenance Trainer (TMT)Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A)Games for Training (GFT).ADDITIONAL DUTIESThe System Administrator shall maintain all TADSS being used in rotations, gunnery scenarios or planned exercises up to the total Appendix B quantity at the location, to ensure FMC devices and operational materiel to support the requirements and objectives of each training rotation or exercise.GDITs Systems Administrator Expert will report to the Program Manager and is responsible for all for the day-to-day operations of TADSS critical, tools, inventories, maintenance, and the overall product provided to the government.Manages and maintains system logs.Creates and updates system profiles.Performs system access control and configures web services access.Audits security files, conducts built-in-tests, troubleshoots, and conducts systems diagnostics.Installs pending security update(s) and / or software patch(s) within 15 days of receipt from the OEM. Files received from the OEM that have been determined corrupted or that would interfere with scheduled training, the subcontractor provides written notification to the Mission Training Complex ( MTC) Director or his / her Government Representative, the COR and the Program Information Security Officer (ISSO) immediately.Upon receipt and verification of the update(s) or patch(s) for functionality, complexity of the update, the OEM’s prompt responsiveness and system availability, the subcontractor establishes a timeline acceptable to the MTC Director or his / her Government Representative to install the security update. Failure to apply the provided update(s) or patch(s) within 30 days to the system will put it in a non-compliant status and void the system’s ATO.Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses as they are released from TADSS Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).Install and update anti-virus software.Perform periodic system updates, when provided by the TADSS OEM.Evaluate and optimize system performance.Interface with customers and site Government personnel, report TADDS status, any maintenance issues as well as assist with training schedules.Attends weekly safety briefingsWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

The Systems Administrator Senior must have:Education: Bachelors Degree (additional experience can be substituted for degree requirement)Experience: 10+ years experience with a Bachelors Degree; 5+ with a Masters or 14+ years of related experienceRequired Experience: 2+ years of related experience Managing US Army TADSSTechnical skills: Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices. Ability to learn the W-TRS Management Information System (MIS) for controls/recording all work orders and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) property control.Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on systems; Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions; Ability to resolve complex technical issues; Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.Security clearance level: TS/SCIRole requirements: Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid state driver’s license and post driving privileges; Must be able to travel up to 25% of time.US citizenship requiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACE
