- Evaluates the patient’s functional communication and swallow ability with the use of field-accepted and/or standardized test materials appropriate for the patient’s response pattern; evaluations to include receptive and expressive language skills, cognitive language, speech production, voice, laryngeal speech, augmentative communication and dysphagia.
- Performs fluoroscopy swallow studies by coordinating with radiologists and radiology technicians as ordered by the patient’s physician.
- Coordinates with physician offices, OP Radiology and OP Rehabilitation Services staff for scheduling of medically referred patients with communications and/or swallowing disorders.
- Coordinates with CRMC Food and Nutrition Services in ordering and obtaining food materials needed for swallowing evaluations and treatment.
- Prepares and administers direct therapy treatments for communication and swallowing-disordered patients according to goals and plan of care determined during patient evaluation.
- Completes all necessary in-patient and out-patient documentation for evaluations and treatments according to department guidelines, in a timely manner.
- Provides education and in-service to staff, patients and family members as part of treatment or as specific needs arise for hospital and community programs.
- Regularly attends Physical Rehabilitation Services meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings, as indicated for patient coordination.
- Remains current with all organizational required training and professional education requirements for licensure.
- Possesses knowledge and skill to promote excellence in patient services, community outreach and professional growth through continuing education.
- Inputting data/typing documentation in electronic health record and on paper, computer literacy in using various hardware and software for treatment and documentation

- Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech/Language Pathology training program
- Current Wyoming Speech/Language Pathologist license
- Cheyenne Regional RQI within 14 calendar days of start date
- Prior experience in either an inpatient or outpatient setting including acute care
