If you are passionate about supporting families and promoting the best interests of children during times of conflict the opportunity to be a Child Custody Recommending Counselor is for you!In this vital role, you will mediate disputes involving child custody and visitation, provide expert recommendations to the court, and work closely with parents, legal professionals, and community agencies. This position requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and clinical skills, and a commitment to child welfare and family well-being. The ideal candidate will possess at least a master's degree in psychology, social work, marriage, family and child counseling, or other behavioral science substantially related to marriage and family interpersonal relationships, and two (2) years of experience in counseling or psychotherapy preferably in a setting related to the areas of responsibility of the family conciliation court and with the diverse population to be served.This position is located at the Larson Justice Center in Indio, CA and will provide support to the Desert Region which includes Blythe, Indio and Palm Springs courthouses.For a complete list of the qualifications and essential duties, please refer to the job description .Riverside is the fourth largest county in California and the 10th largest in the United States.
