Food Service Cashier Part Time

• Performs cashiering duties which include cash transactions, credit card, debit card, and gift card processing.
• Completes orders for replenishing coins and bills for the registers.
• Performs procedures in any of the serving areas according to all State and Hospital guidelines, including serving and/or portioning the food, preparing items to order, informing/directing customers, as needed, performing cash and charge transactions, and reconciling money.
• Takes refrigeration, and hot and cold food temperatures to ensure proper storage and serving temperatures.
• Cleans assigned areas/equipment following institutional standards.
• Orders, collects, and restocks food supplies in assigned areas.
• Displays and labels food items using menu boards and tabletop signs.
• Sweeps and mops, as needed.
• May operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing equipment or supplies.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

• High school diploma (or GED) is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and write required.
• Prior satisfactory work experience is desired.
