- Good written and oral communication skills, computer skills and team player attitude required. Duties include daily opening and closing of location (village mechanic shop), bike maintenance, parts ordering and inventory control.
- Maintain good communication through our "bike sales" cellular line.
- Maintain good and organized Communication through our bike sales email line.
- Replacing broken or nonfunctioning parts allowing bikes to function safely and properly.
- Washing and detailing bikes so they are up to our standards for sales.
- Researching and purchasing materials for bike repairs and/or rental equipment.
- Research industry equipment trends and innovative repair techniques.
- Coordinate with assigned budgets for the repair shop operation. Utilize systems to monitor budgeted revenues and expenses.
- Coordinate inventory tracking of all rentals, storage, and repaired equipment located in the storage/Repair shop.
- Coordinate tracking and documentation on productivity of bikes
- Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to complete required paperwork in an accurate and legible manor
- Ability to adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned - including, but not limited to, winter rental and tuning operations.
- Required to work weekends and holidays.

- Check/Replace front rotor
- Check/Replace rear rotor
- Replace front brake pads
- Replace rear brake pads
- Swap carbon wheels if applicable
- Check/true front wheel
- Check/true rear wheel
- Check/Replace headset bearings
- Clean headset
- Regrease headset
- Lower Service on fork (seals, oil, wipers)
- Make sure shock isn't blown
- Quick service on shock (seals, oil if applicable)
- Take linkage apart and check bearings
- Clean everything
- Re assemble and torque linkage
- Check D. Hangar and make sure it's strait
- Check D. cable housing
- Check D. cable/Replace D. cable
- Check bottom bracket
- Clean/Replace bottom bracket
- Check cranks
- Inspect/clean cassette
- Inspect/clean rear hub
- Make sure shifting is smooth and D. is adjusted
- Check dropper post/Install dropper post
- Check dropper lever
- Check dropper cable
- Install carbon bars if applicable
- Replace grips & saddle (tighten)
- Test Ride
- Remove Pedals
- ALL TASKS MUST BE COMPLETED FOR A BIKE TO BE "SALE PREPPED"
- Able to stand through most of shift
- Able to lift bikes weighing 50 lbs or more
- Able have the dexterity to work with tools and small pieces
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
- Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
- Formal Bike Mechanic Training or Certifications Preferred.
- Previous experience working in a Bike shop as a mechanic with an overall strong knowledge of all types of bikes required
- Previous experience specifically working with Rockshox and Fox suspensions required (suspension forks/spring shocks)
- Previous experience maintaining a large fleet of bikes and significantly large inventory of parts and pieces.
